CROPTHORNE’S James Calado finished in an improved eighth place in round two of the ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge – in support of UNICEF – on Saturday.
Formula E driver Calado is now in 11th place in the championship after two rounds of the online racing series.
Max Guenther from BMW i Andretti Motorsport won the main race from the Formula E grid.
The ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge features two separate grids running in parallel – one comprised of drivers from the ABB FIA Formula E Championship and the challenge grid filled by some of the fastest gamers and influencers.
The online events use a Race Royale format specific to gaming, in which the last-placed driver at the end of each lap is eliminated.
Calado will feature in round three of the series on Saturday, live across BBC platforms from 4.20pm.
