Help shape a future by fostering a child in Worcestershire

Droitwich Editorial 30th Apr, 2024 Updated: 30th Apr, 2024   0

PEOPLE across Worcestershire are being urged to ‘foster a child and help shape a future’.

And there are many different types of fostering opportunities so applicants can find the perfect fit for them and their family.

Whether it is short-term or long-term, respite, parent and child placement, buddy or specialist fostering, there are many local children in need of support.

Buddy Foster Carer scheme sees people offer regular short breaks to a local fostering family and care for a child on a flexible part-time basis during weekends, weekday evenings, or even school holidays.

The Specialist Fostering scheme is designed for experienced carers who can provide support to children facing challenges and have complex needs. These will make a significant difference.

The Team at Worcestershire Children First Fostering say they will offer guidance every of the way with a wide range of support and training including generous fees for support and allowances.

People interested should call 0800 028 2158 or visit worcestershire.gov.uk/fostering for more and to start their fostering journey.
