Plenty of fun, family activities to do this Easter holidays in Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch

THERE are plenty of fun activities for families to do over the Easter holidays in Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch.

From Easter egg hunts and trails, to crafts, museums and other activities, there will be loads to choose from in the next two weeks.

Avoncroft Museum

Up to two children go free with each full-paying entrant to the open-air Avoncroft Museum, which is set across 19 acres with buildings through the ages – from medieval to modern which bring to life fascinating stories of times gone by.

There are also two children’s play areas and the interactive National Collection of Telephone Kiosks.

This Easter, there will be a Traditions Trail and displays showing different ways of celebrating Easter through time, and an Easter crafts space, all included with entry.

Forge Mill Needle Museum

Easter egg trails are taking place everyday between 10am and 4pm until March 31.


Entry to the trail is £2 per person who then gets to make their basket and embark on the hunt.

On Saturday and Sunday, March 30 and 31, there will be live music, craft stalls and an eggs-tended trail across Abbey Meadow.

Easter Fun Fest – Vines Park, Droitwich

There will be free entry to the Easter Fun Fest at Vines Park, Droitwich on March 30 and 31.

And, once inside, there will be plenty to do, including pony rides, face painting, a bouncy castle, fun fair, hot food and drink, live entertainment and karaoke and more

Events – listed above – run between 10am and 5.30pm each day.

 

Spring at Little Own Farm Park, Dunhampton

The venue is open seven days-a-week throughout the school holidays with plenty to do for all the family.

There are five outdoor and four indoor play areas, lamb bottle feeds and lambing sheds and so much more.

Little Owl Farm Park is in Owl Hill Lane, Dunhampton.

 

Wythall Transport Museum – spring gathering

On Easter Sunday, March 31, and bank holiday Monday, April 1, the Bristol Owners will kick off the venue’s programme for 2024 when it holds its spring gathering.

As well as the impressive array of vehicles, there will be Easter activities, including an egg hunt, along with free bus rides, miniature railway rides and a bar.

Droitwich Spa Heritage Centre – FREE Easter egg hunts

Droitwich Spa Heritage and Information Centre is organising free Easter Egg Hunts as well as arts and craft sessions for families and children this Easter.

The centre will be open from March 25 to March 28 from 1pm until 4pm for families and children to hunt for Easter eggs and create themed craft items.

All of the events will be free to attend. The centre is closed from March 29 until April 2 before reopening from April 3 to April 5 from 10 am to 4pm.

They will also be open on April 6 from 10am to 1.30pm.

 

Droitwich Cricket Club – Easter egg hunt

DROITWICH Cricket Club is gearing up for an egg-stra special event this Easter, as Worcestershire estate agency Nicol and Co team up with Mindful Financial Planning to host a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt.

Taking place from 10am to 3pm on Good Friday, March 29, the event promises a day of family-friendly entertainment with the hunt trail winding through nearby Lido Park and St Peter’s Church.

 

Churchfields Farm 

The popular visitor attraction will be running its Easter Trail from now until April 7.

Participants will be tasked with identifying a variety of ‘Egg Heads’ in a bid to crack a code for the treat chest where every paying child gets a free treat.

Tickets also include animal paddocks, the huge farm inspired adventure playground, zip wire, giant bouncers, go karts and more.

And children will be able to see baby animals and participate in Easter crafts, pony rides, pottery painting and soap making.

Between March 28 and April 1 – the Easter bank holiday weekend, there will be even more fun with the Easter

Bunny and friends making an appearance with live shows and Easter egg hunts where children can gather some more treats.

Cofton Park Manor care home – Easter eggs-travaganza

On Good Friday, March 29, families are welcome to a FREE train ride around the garden courtesy of ‘All Aboard Railways’.

People can also have a tour of the luxury care home.
