DROITWICH Spa Hockey Club went goal crazy as two of their ladies sides netted more than 20 times between them against sorry Worcester.
Eleven of the goals were scored by Ladies Seconds as they hammered Worcester Fifths, with three of those coming in the opening seven minutes.
Gabriella Prendiville opened the scoring before Anna Weston and Lucy Hine struck. Rachel Cooper and Jenny Gage then scored as Spa moved into a 5-0 lead at half-time.
Droitwich could have offered to take their foot off the gas, but they refused to as Weston kept hitting the back of the net.
After completing her hat-trick, she added three more to her tally in an impressive six-goal display. Captain Pat Hine also got on the scoresheet as Spa went to the summit of Worcestershire Division Three.
Ladies 1st were also in scoring form and once again Worcester were the victims as their Fourths were thrashed 10-1.
The floodgates opened inside the first minute as Lucy Hine scored before Sue Williams expertly flicked home from a penalty corner.
Droitwich maintained their pressure and opened up a 5-0 lead at half-time, with Hine and Louise Warrilow netting. Warrillow and Williams extended their advantage, while Caroline Siddle finished with four goals.
Spa Men’s Firsts scored four, but Newton netted five as they edged a thrilling encounter, while Men’s Seconds suffered a 3-1 defeat to Kings Heath Pickwick.
A defensive mistake gifted Pickwick the lead before Shaun Laight levelled things up after Mitch Oakes’ initial effort was saved.
But after withstanding pressure at the start of the second half, Kings Heath proved too strong in the end as they added two further goals.
Meanwhile, Droitwich Badgers battled hard, but three goals in six minutes broke their resolve as Worcester Pippens ran out 4-0 winners.
