BUS OPERATOR First has confirmed that the 144 which runs between Bromsgrove and Worcester, via Droitwich, is included in the £2 cap for single fares, along with all its other services on the network.
The Standard contacted First after residents and bus users questioned whether it was one of the providers which had signed up to the Government scheme.
Diamond buses, which operates services in Bromsgrove, Redditch and other areas, has confirmed, however, it would not be participating in the £2 bus fare cap scheme.
The trial will run between January 1 and March 31 after a government investment totaling £60million helped to cap single tickets for over 130 bus operators outside of London.
The scheme is estimated to take around 2million cars off the road and reduce emissions.
