DESPITE the regular season ending, Bromsgrove and Ombersley still have a chance to bag some silverware on Sunday, (September 26).

The Boars play Ombersley in the final of the Worcestershire County League’s Sunday Slam – The Hundred Cup at the County Ground, New Road in Worcester, at 4pm.

This is a competition along the lines of the newly-introduced National ‘The Hundred’ competition, and to reach the final the Boars have seen off Stourbridge, Netherton, Droitwich and Halesowen.

Ombersley made their way past Bromyard, Stourport and Pershore.

A Bromsgrove CC spokesperson said: “Silverware could be in the clubhouse on Sunday evening and all followers of the club are encouraged to cheer on the Boars by being at New Road on Sunday afternoon.

“It promises to be an exciting two and a half hours of cricket.”
